随着基于TCP/IP协议的INTERNET的不断发展壮大，为了能更好地宣传孝感学院的精神风貌，也为了能更好地通过INTERNET及校园网为学校教育教学提供资源共享、信息交流和促进学校各部门之间的协调工作，孝感学院从学校的长远发展考虑，在有限资金投入获取最大的效益的前提下，决定实施孝感学院校园网工程。
